Be Neutral, Not Boring
The choice to go neutral in rug buying can easily be misconstrued as “safe.” And perhaps in some cases it’s true. However, we know this is not always the case. In fact, neutral colors can bring a sense of potential to a room.
Ultimately neutral colors are meant as a base for which you can decorate around easily. Some people don’t necessarily feel comfortable basing the color scheme of their space around a rug. Fair enough. Neutrals like brown, grey, black, nude and white, allow for a little wiggle room in your decorating choices.
The Neutral Truth:
2. Sometimes less really is more.
3. Neutral rugs are amazing if you’re going for the modern-chic look.
4. In spaces where you want to relax, neutrals are a great choice.
Check out the three examples below:
This gorgeous brown/grey rug looks amazing in this condo. The neutral colors of the room are far from drab with that view of the city already giving vibrancy and color to the space. Truly, sometimes less is more.
How chic is this foyer though?! Black and white with green plants to accent the look with just a touch of color. This classic neutral combination looks great, even in a modern space.
We love the elegant simplicity of this little nook. A neutral palette can create a relaxing vibe to space with understated patterns to highlight the accents of other items in the room.
